  • Wine hikes

    Stuttgart and its region is famous for wine hikes (wine testing, food and a little walk through the wine yards. They are a lot of fun often for the entire family. Very famous in the now in Esslingen-Mettingen.
    Enter WINE in the search field of the Stuttgart Tourist page to locate them.

  • Besen

    A temporary tavern/bar opened only at a certain period of time is called a Besen (broomstick) here in Stuttgart.
    Serving seasonal food or the first wine in autumn.
    Usually it all takes place in a home, barn or basement, spare room or even garage converted for the occasion for wining and dining.

    The Stuttgart library downtown has a whole wall of English (and other languages) books, audio books, and movies. There is also an English childrens book section in an adjoining room.

  • Naturkundemuseum - Museum of Natural History

    The Stuttgart State Museum of Natural History is one of Baden-Württemberg’s most popular museums. A total of 6200 m² exhibition space and numerous activities guarantee an entertaining visit and provide interesting insights into the evolution and diversity of life.
    The exhibitions are housed in two separate buildings. In the Museum am Löwentor, you can find the paleontological exhibition, documenting the history of life on Earth. In contrast, Schloss Rosenstein provides an overview of present-day animal diversity and Earth’s major ecosystems.

    With its rich collection of masterworks dating from the fourteenth century to the present, the Staatsgalerie Stuttgart is among Germany’s most popular museums. Both its impressive museum complex and its holdings mirror the link between tradition and modernity.
